Though technically Ohio-born, I love to point out that I’m a Hoosier at heart, graduating from Avon High School (an Indy suburb kid I usually call myself) and got to experience the best of Bloomington as an Indiana University student. In my upbringing, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for everything Indiana offers—from the passion for basketball to the deliciousness of pork tenderloins and the beauty of experiencing every season (though that seasonal depression still hits towards the end of January for me). Carmel, with its unique charm and vibrant community, holds a special place in my heart. I moved here shortly after college because I love all things about the arts, as a trained pianist myself, so proximity to the Palladium along with all the other community events made it easy to see myself getting involved here. While I could go on about my love for Carmel specifically, I do want to shift into the fact that my current locale inspires my work as a web designer in Carmel, Indiana as well as my communication style.

Having lived in Indiana since high school, I’ve soaked in the local culture of smiling faces, marching bands, and homestyle food, which oddly enough reflects in my designs. This journey has ingrained in me a deep understanding of the challenges and needs of small businesses, especially when it comes to building, maintaining, and optimizing websites. It resonates with me because I’ve never liked doing jobs halfway, I go the extra mile whether asked to or not.

I’m relatively young (I think I would say that about myself), and so I take into consideration all of the best practices I’ve learned in client work, the trends I keep up on on LinkedIn and other design platforms, and this all shapes my style to be pretty minimalistic, text-heavy, only including images and graphics if they are top-notch (no blurriness or corniness) and leading all users to a conversion point whether that be a form submission or phone call.
