Hoosier at ♥

Web Designer in Carmel, Indiana

Hi – I’m Courtney, an Ohio born designer with deep Hoosier roots, not only in my family but in my childhood and college experience, as well. I currently live, work and play in Carmel, Indiana with my husband and two children. After graduating from IU, I started my career as an associate web designer at a web services firm based out of Westfield, Indiana and jumped into freelancing design services full-time, too! Over the past couple of years, I’ve had the pleasure of doing complete website redesigns, launching some brands from the ground up, creating what feels like millions of custom illustrations, graphics, business cards and logos, and writing lots of blog posts and content for websites. I also ran a successful greeting card Etsy shop and enjoyed being a small business owner – I dipped my toes in every facet of business from accounting, to product design, to marketing, and the most satisfying part: helping customers and clients, either face-to-face or virtually.

Aside from work, it seems I am always on-the-go, diving head first into a new hobby or traveling around the world as time permits. I love every type of music (yes, every type!) and have quite the vinyl record collection. Someday, I’d love to hack it as a chef, particularly a pastry chef, if I get the chance. For now, I just stick with loving to cook and learning about sourdough bread making, fermentation and cookie making. I try to stay up on good book reading habits, and prefer to read about mid-century design, the history of ancient Rome or home architecture styles. I appreciate you taking the time to read a little of my background and would love it if you would reach out to talk about your project if you think that I would be a good fit to tackle all your big ideas & questions.

– Courtney
